The\u003cbr\u003efarm has an area of 16 hectares, of which 8 are dedicated to the cultivation of coffee, with 50,000\u003cbr\u003eplants in production. In addition to growing coffee, he also has several products for his family's\u003cbr\u003eown consumption such as: yucca, bananas, avocado, grapefruit and tree tomatoes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLOCATION DETAILS\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLa Mina farm is located in the north of the department of Nariño, at a distance of 40 km north of\u003cbr\u003ePasto, in the central mountain range of the Andes, is characterized by its excellent geographical\u003cbr\u003elocation, fertile soils and good water reserves. Buesaco has a temperate and cool climate\u003cbr\u003ethroughout the year. Average temperatures oscillate between 15°C and 20°C. Rainfall is abundant,\u003cbr\u003eespecially during the months of April to May and September to November.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOTHER DETAILS\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe main harvesting period is between April, May, June and July. Its production is 12,000 kg of dry\u003cbr\u003eparchment per year. Today Jeison Lopez, his grandson, is dedicated to the production and\u003cbr\u003eprocessing processes at the farm.\u003cbr\u003eThe La Mina farm has participated in events that reward the quality of coffee for several years\u003cbr\u003enow, for example in 2005 it began participating in the Cup of Excellence Colombia, placing among\u003cbr\u003ethe finalists of the event for several consecutive years, in which it obtained honorable mentions,\u003cbr\u003estanding out as one of the national reference producers.
